A new Generation of AC??

I have heard speculation and rumors of Allis Chalmers returning to the farming industry late next year :eek: . Are any of them true? Is there a chance AC could deal with the compitition of JD, anc IHC if they did return? Is there a chance they could even come back at all? Personally, I'd love to see Allis back in the field, and I bet Im not the only one. :D Versatile came back :wink: If they do, you can expect them to be a new line of Agco.
 
Agco Allis tractors have been around for awhile, Ratcliffe and other former AC employees formed agco so in effect there is a past and present connection. As for competition how are they doing in your area? No agco dealers close so the AC, MF ect. machinery is nearly gone around here. PS- IHC went broke years ago, It's now CASE ih.
 
AGCO added the name Allis to their tractor a few years ago and advertised up a storm. Had the best warranty going but hardly anyone bought them. They dropped the Allis name and continued with orange AGCO branded tractors. They don't own the name "Allis Chalmers" or the old AC logo. That went with the AC energy division and is a well known energy company using the name Allis Chalmers on their products with the old AC logo emblazoned all over the place. It's highly doubtful that anyone will ever be able to put that name on a piece of farm machinery again.
 
Now It"s CNH, not Case IH. We have a strong AGCO dealer here, but they sell more FENT tractors than anything.
 
Ive heard that AC is to be back in the equipment buss, ; I ve heard that the new tractors are on test over seas and supposed to be a split of AGCO with a joint venture but a totally new design of AG equipment to be marketed in North America to gain market share and get Agco numbers up in NA and boost shore up AC in diversification other than oil equip. ; They both need to do something !!!!
