Rear tires for the D-14

I recently purchased a D-14. It uses 12-26 rear tires. I have been told that 13.6x26 will fit also. I am wondering if their is a place that a person can purchase replacement tires for this cheaper than $1200.00 for the pair. Or is their another wheel size that will work and possibly those tires will be more practical?

i found a used set 13.6 at a tractor salvage yard off a old john deere combine

13.6 X 26 is the new size number for the 12 X 26 tire. For the 13 X 26 the new size is 14.9 X 26
For both sizes go to a combine parts yard, both sizes were popular on the model 45 John Deere combines but the larger more so. And either will work on your rims. The only downside to the larger tire is if on low gear it is now too fast for what you are wanting to do as they will slightly speed up the ground speed.

$1200 a pair? Does that include new rims, too? Don't know which part of the country you are in, but try BOB'S tire in Berkley, WVA, last I checked, 13.6X 26's would be less than half of the figure you quoted.
