Did all D-10 and D-12 tractors come with live power? My reference books are pretty sketchy on the subject. Thanks,

Don't know about the earlier models, but my '63 Series II D12 has independent PTO and hydraulics.

The operator's manual confirms that all the series had live PO. The books talk about a later option for a two speed gear box but my manuals don't say anything about one. To the best of my knowledge, the drive train from the clutch to the PO was the same from first run to the last. A belt drive was a field installed option but it ran off the same power shaft as the splined PO.

In all due respect that book is wrong.
D10's with serial numbers prior to 3500 and D12's with serial numbers prior to 3001 did not have live PTO's.

I don't believe the early D-10's did.
