170 to 185

I was wondering if it was possible to put the torque tube and rearend off a 185 on a 170 front end? Could you use the hand clutch off the 170 on the 185 torque tube instead of the power director? thanks

Never heard of anyone doing this but i would say you can have your pie but you cant eat it. I believe they should bolt up but as far as the hand clutch im pretty sure your outta luck its gonna have to be a power director. Just curious why would you want a hand clutch and not the power director?
