: what other equipment uses updraft marvel carbs? Need for wd45

Bruce, How about all of the major USA tractor manufacturers. There are primarily three sizes of MS carbs that have been used. (MS mfg'd other sizes also and are properly identified by inch sizes), However the major sizes are more easily identified by, small bowl, med bowl, and large bowl. The WD45 should have a med bowl carb. One caution however is not all size carbs are built to the same specifications. You will have to identify the internal and external differences, especially the throttle and choke positions as well as the spacing of the mounting holes/studs. Good luck on your search, and probably you can find a carb that is rebuildable for a WD 45 (MS #'s TSX464, AND TSX773, are probabilities)

It is interesting to do a WWW search for "Marvel Schebler" as I did a few weeks ago. I learned that there are a number of M-S suppliers (including the tractor parts section of this site, and that many of the listed sites supplied the light plane industry.

I can say with certainty that given the troubles I've had with the idle circuit in M-S, I would not want to fly in an aircraft with one.
