I just bought an allis tractor. It has WD decals on it but the previous owner believes it is a WC. I found some numbers on top of the differential housing under the seat. Are these the serial numbers? What other ways might the WC differ from the WD? thank you in advance for any help.

Howdy, The easiest way to tell if your tractor is a W.C. or not is all the W.C."s had hand brakes and not foot brakes so if you got the hand levers to apply your brakes then you have a W.C. Good luck , Hoss

wc has a lng curved shifter and the transmission is seperate from the rear end . the rear end is a punkin type like found in old trucks . a wd the transmission and rearend are made together.

Thank you for your info. I will know exactly what I am looking at nest time. This one is a WC. Gave $150 for it, had it 2 days sold it for $500. Not a bad days work.
