does anyone have a picture of the breakdown of the transmision and rear end ? I just got the tractor and am waiting for my IT manual to come in the mail but i cant figure out where to start .

It sounds kind of like bad spider gears in a car
when the tractor was turned off and rolling out of gear you can feel it in the tires
I jacked it up and put it in gear and stoped each tire seperately and the noise stays the same which kind of tell me tranmission not rear end ..

I'm open to ideas , I bought it as a parts tractor , but it looks to good to strip it down and there really isnt anything wrong with owning to B's is there ??

poke in or copy and paste www.fotki.com/DickL and scroll down to the parts drawings and sort thru. I have an album with pictures on one in pieces as well. Bunch of B stuff you might be interested in if your going to be working on them.

Thanks all kind of usefull info.

So i should be able to get a much picture by removing the whole PTO assembly ? At least be able to see which way i need to go from there eiter in towards the trasmission or out towards the wheels i guess

Make sure it is not your wheel hub before you get to far into the transmission. A loose rim or wore out hub splines can throw you for a loop with noises.

When i spin the tire on jack stans with the trans in neutral i still hear the noise , so i am guesing it rules out the tranny
