the tube coming out of the top where the linkage pivots and the oil tube connects is very loose--what is the fix for that or does it matter? Thanks

HI JK
I got out and checker my tractors today and the 1941 does not have oil line going to governor but the 1942 does so i guess they weren't used in 1941 or may have changed in mid year

I would not worry about it too much. As long as the fitting on the oil line is tight it can't fall in. I bent a small piece of roofing flashing to shim it. Put a bend on the top of the flashing so it can't fall into the hole. Tap tube in tight . Don't tap it in too far.
Keep an eye on ebay for a cover with a tight fitting tube.
I just bought one for my C for $10.00 on ebay.

If they are not to sloppy loctite will hold them in place. I have had a couple that I just put a different cover on that was not wore out.
