This one probably has a short answer is here goes: the D15 II will start slobbering oil out the exhaust at idle once it warms up. To quantitfy, oil will run down the outside of the muffler during long [20 min] period of idle. Your thoughts ? I thank you.

All too often valve guides are overlooked, especially in gas engines, where a lot of vacuum is created at idle with the closing of the throttle plate. Most of us can install sleeves, pistons and rings no problem. Very few of us are capable of and equipped for getting the whole valve situation correct. There could also be a baffle issue over the rocker shaft.

Probly correct on the valve guides. When the ring endgaps are at 3/8" on the pistons causing the problem you get a speckled face running wide open. The breather on the valve cover being plugged could cause the problem to be worse. Don't (think)(?) that the valve cover on that engine would have a baffel problem to cause it.

Yep, just looked up D15, no baffle. Did see that they went from a B-C style breather/filler cap to a tight cap on the front corner and a vent tube coming off the rear.
