I may be "inheriting" a G - haven't gone over and looked at it yet, but it was running 5 years ago and has been shedded since. There is a mower and a plow with it as well. May also be a grader blade. I am thinking of selling it - looks like the tractors are in the $2500 to $4000 range depending on condition, but how much are the attachments worth? If I sell it, should I sell the attachments separately or roll it into a package?
I wish I had the time/money/space to keep it but my D17 is keeping me and my wallet busy.

A lot of the value is dependent on the condition. Location also has a lot to do with it too.
In an area with smaller vegie or flower gardens it should bring more than on big farms.

It's in western MN, close to Grand Forks. The G isn't really well known here in North MN, at least that's what I gather. So it's probably not worth as much here as transport costs would be steep.

A bit nippy up there at the moment I bet.

I passed through Grand Forks in August of 1977 on my way from Vincennes, IN to Seattle, WA. I had just graduated from college and was on my way to my first real job - as opposed to the servitude I had endured growing up on the farm.

Good luck with the G!

Best regards,

Scott

I went to school in Grand Forks for 3 years. They talked me into going there with the "good looking girl behind every tree" line. ND isn't a bad state - it's a bit flat in the east, but it is full of really good people. And it was the 3rd most powerful nuclear power for a few days or weeks in the '70s.
Not as bad today as it was yesterday. -28F today, it was -36F yesterday. I don't even know what the wind chill numbers are, we pretty much ignore them anyway as it is junk science. Should warm up this weekend - hope so we plan on fishing Saturday.
As much as I hate to, it looks like I will have to let the G go to someone else. We got some more bad news at work here today so it's time to tighten up. I'll be lucky if I can put much into the D17 this year much less afford another project.

Creek,

Ha! Your line about ND being full of "good people" reminded me of a spoof on the college radio station years ago in Indiana. The spoof was a jingle supposedly produced by the state of Indiana - the jingle was supposed to point out Indiana's positives. One verse of the jingle had a line that went something like:

"...sure we don't have mountains or lakes
but people make up for nature's mistakes..."

Sorry to hear about your job situation. Could you send me an email at [email protected] ? I'd like to talk to you about the G.

Best regards,

Scott
