Allis Chalmers WD cylinder head?

I have just found out I have a 1952 AC WD so i believe it would have the 201ccd engine (plate cover on the right side) but it has the tall cylinder head like on the WD45. My question is does this tall cylinder head have different size combustion chambers, more or less compression than the orignal head, differnt size valves, more horse power than the orignal head? I think i read someware that stock compression for the WD was 4.5 to 1 is that on both size heads (early- short late- tall)?

the heads is a valve in head design . but the head has no combustion chamber . allis accomplished combustion by keeping the piston below the deck . the four inch head flows a few more cfms than the three in stock apearance . theres alot of room for additonal stroke and the design has no valve shrouding due to it being flat or flush to the bottom of the head. if a little hot rod pulling tractor is in youre future the 201 0r 226 engine design has alot of potential.

I just found out today that my WD45 is a WD I should have did a little more resarch before i bought. I was wanting to build a puller with the WD45 I am a little bumed out but I may be able to find a 45 motor where i bought this tractor there are some others that are turnd around with a loader on the back that may be 45s

Throw a 45 crank in it, set a 45 head on top of it, feed it with a 45 carb and intake...BAMMMM!!!!!, for all practical purposes, you've got a WD45 engine. Only thing that might not be the best for pulling ( and I say this having no clue at all), the WD had a 2 plate hand clutch, the 45 had 3. Don't know if the WD hand clutch slips sooner or not.

I & T Manual AC-11 gives the compression ratios in Condensed Service Data page 5 for the WD Non LP-Gas as 6.6, 5.75, 5.5, 5.0 & 4.5. Paragraph 91 page 19 states :pistons are supplied in the standard size only and with variation in piston compression length for the three compression ratios. There is no explanation for five different ratios.
