Round hole means series 1, same size motor as d-14. Lesser overall value for a gas tractor, in MD that tractor would top out at about $2500 with the mower, a few hundred less without.

Larry,
Theres many things that effect price.I had a D15 series 2 that I did so work on and put close to new rear rubber and rims.(WF) everything worked well and ran awesome=was a very nice tractor/painted.I sold it about a month ago for $3800/michigan.Now if you look around in ohio from what I have seen the D series run 1/2 the price.Actually just passed on a WF D17 that was cosmetically ugly (who cares in my opinion) but was low on cash=$1000

Series 1 or series 2? Quick way to tell is what is the shape of the muffler hole in the hood.
