Clutch lock

My Allis has a clutch lock. Should it be used only for cold wx starting and starting from the ground position ?? Is it recommended to be used while in storage ?? Thanks for responding to my Q.

The only reason I use mine is when running the belt pulley and have to hook up by myself whereas I have to be off the tractor and the pulley not running.

Not saying I am the expert but when starting you can take it out of gear and during storage you do not want your clutch springs to be compressed.

Clutch lock is used in a number of ways. One for hand starting so you have less load on things so you can spin the engine over better. Also if you have a problem with the clutch sticking from sitting for a long time it can be used to help that problem.
