I atempted to put a carb kit in my marvel shebler tsx-464 last night. It was a new rebuilder kit. The throttle shaft holes to screw the round plate onto were in the wrong spot so there was a 3/8 inch gap between the where the ruber retainer goes and the seal. So I didnt know if gas would leak out of this area? I put the old throttle shaft back in. and put the original adjustment screw back on it because the new one was not long enough with either throttle shaft. Then there was this round white soft part, not sure where that went? the smallest seal that goes on the tube inside was realy hard to put on over the tube? there was an adjustment screw on the very bottom a plug with another plug and then a needle in the middle of that, is there some kind of metallic seal inside the large plug for the small plug? Mine had that and i thought it was buildup and scraped it out, was this bad? has anyone had these simular problems with the kits?
