Just bought a nice 7050. Have no experience with this model and would like to know what problems they have. Before I start to restore it.

I've put about 400 hrs on mine since I got it and no problems yet. My experience otherwise with the 7000 series 426 engine is you should have the engine oil analyzed because of electrolysis. Also the torque limiter might give trouble. Otherwise too me a basically trouble free tractor.

Where do I go to have the engine oil analyzed? I hope mine turns out to be as good. The person I bought it from never used it.

Your local AGCO , Deere, or Case dealer should be able to help with oil analysis. Won't tell much until you get a few hours of use on new oil though. Myself, I just touch the oil to my tongue and that will at least tell me if there is antifreeze in the oil. The analysis will cover more than that though.
