my wd 45 is not starting, i have put a new battery, cables and a coil, it sounds like it is not getting enough juice to the starter.

Do you still have the original 6 volt system? If so, you must use at least 2 gage cables. If you have common 6 gage cable (12v) and a 6 volt battery, it will always act like the battery is run down.

My WD did the same thing. Brand new charged battery and would hardly turn over. Sounded like a dead battery. I removed every wire and replaced all the wire terminals and cleaned every connnection and it started right up like a brand new tractor.
About it running and then stopping sounds like you may have two problems to solve.

DOES IT TURN OVER OR JUST CLICK AT THE STARTER? IF IT JUST CLICKS YOU MAY HAVE THE STARTER RETANER BOLT TO TIGHT BACK IT OFF AND TRY TO START IT. THIS HAPPEND TO ME. IT WAS PARKED ON A HILL.
