D14 axle oil seal

Ok, got the axle housings off the D14. Bought 2 oil seals for each side as there is enough room to fit 2 in there. Where do the oil seals go? Are they the differential bearing carrier seals? Or are they the bull pinion shaft bearings? If they are the differential bearing carrier seals, what is the best way to get the carrier out?

I have an IT Service Manual. Just trying to figure out which seal to replace. I am thinking it is the carrier bearing housing that needs the seal. What do you mean by "stop gap"?
