Will,
I suspect that a previous owner added a CA decal to your B, possibly because he transplanted a CA engine into it. To my knowledge there was no B-CA tractor from A-C. In '39 the engine in a B would've been the 116 ci version and the CA used the 125 ci version of the same engine with about 10 more HP.

Phil

If you know for certain its a '39, its a B. The C began production in '40 to '49 and was replaced with the CA in '50. The B was produced from '37 to '59 and was a one row tractor always with a wide front. Most were built with a non adjustable fron axle, however, an adjustable was offered. Hydraulic lift was an option but this was only a lift lower setup. The C is basically the same tractor with about 10 more hp and was a two row model with more implements designed for it and also could choose from single front wheel, dual front, or wide front. The CA was a jazzed up C with power adjust rear wheels, same front end options, and had traction booster hydraulics like a WD. It also had a hand clutch which provided a live pto, and 2 or 3 more hp. Hope this answered your questions, Brian.
