The missing MM R | Since I was a young boy, my father and I searched every show and auction for 1940 MM R that my grandfather bought new, but traded in 1959 for a 770 Oliver. My father told me of 6 identification marks that I could use to ID the tractor and told me that I would know when I found the tractor. My father died in 2001 and I continued my search.A few weeks ago I found the tractor on an auction near Luverne MN. I was able to place a bid by Proxibid with Vanderbrink Auctions and now the tractor sits in my shed. It took many years but the tractor has all 6 of the identifying marks and I have no doubt it is my grandfather's tractor. Jim Checkel, MN, entered 2010-11-25 My Email Address: Not Displayed |
