New old toy miniture steam engine | Back when I was ten years old I recieved a miniture steam engine that actually worked for christmas. I was playing with it a few months later and left it on the porch to cool off. Someone stole it. Ive told my sons the story. Today my eldest son brought me a early christmas gift. Its a Wilesco steam engine just like the one I had 50 years ago. Ive been playing with it all afternoon. You put water in the broiler. fire in the fire box wait a few minutes for it to build a head of steam. spin the flywheel and away she goes. It has a pop off valve and a steam wistle too. It takes me back to a simpler time. Think about it a ten year old kid operating asteam engine without a broiler makers license! Randall Watts, ar, entered 2011-12-15 My Email Address: Not Displayed |
