Bringing Back Family History | Info: Owner: Jesse Hughes Year & make: 1948 Farmall H Serial No. 281356 Well, the story starts out with a Farmall H that I acquired about two years ago. When I got the old thing home it sat for at least a year. Then, this past spring my father and I decided to fix it up. We stripped it clear down and redid almost everything except for the engine. When I first got this tractor, I had no idea really that it was one that my father had ran for many years when he was young. That makes for all the more reason to keep this 'red iron horse'. This H will probably never see fields again. It is now retired to shows and parades. Hopefully I'll have the same luck with the other two H tractors I have that are awaiting their restoration.
