Farmall Super C Restoration
It all started last fall, I just finished my FFA records and got to thinking. I do work on other people's farms why don't I start my own! I have a 1941 farmall A but something with hydrolics and more horsepower was needed. I looked and looked onCraigslist and found a beat up tierd old Farmall Super C. I knew the gentleman that owned the tractor and we agreed on a price that was 'ok' for what I was Getting. When I got it home I looked at it and said what am I doing? I'm only 15 this will take forever!!! The gas was a dark shade of orange and the wiring was down to bare rusty metal. The tractor ran half hot wired with a wire running from the battery to the coil. I took all the sheet metal off and other stuff and had it down just about to the skeleton. Since I have no money I wire wheeled the whole thing! Followed by a thick coat of primer. 3 of my friends came over to help me paint and do body work. Then I hand painted the whole thing and used a rattle can for some small stuff. One of my good friends is going to spray my sheet metal in a paint booth when he does his for his 1939 Farmall H. This spring I hope to turn some dirt with this tractor.
