| It Started with a 1939 Case V |
My folks got married in 1935, farming with horses. Dad bought a New York Life policy, and was very fortunate to use it as a loan to buy a Case V in 1939. He was very proud of that machine. The Case dealer was friendly, and that is the main reason he bought mostly Case. In 1946, after his war effort, He was able to get a 41 W9, a VAI, and later a ferg 20 and 8n. later a F 40 and MF 65. The 3 point hitch was a fabulous invention. All these tractors served extremly well. We never had to replace a clutch or a generator. His insurance and his war job made all this possible.
