My Old M Farmall | Hello farm friends. Being on a farm around 1959 for 10 years I started my tractor involvement when Dad installed a hand clutch on the old 47 M Farmall so he could turn me loose in the hay fields mowing so he could get other things ready for the barn to hold all the hay that was bailed very soon. I so enjoyed mowing and getting the pollen up my nose so I would sneeze for hours thru the day. I recall getting off the tractor with the machine running and oil can in had to lube up the sickle bar and smooth out the sound of the cutting action, because Dad wanted it that way. So I was proud to do just like he said. Of course the tractor was out of gear and much caution was always used what ever I did. I could type for hours here with more stories, maybe later...more to come. thank you Tim Orr Tim Orr, in, entered 2004-01-07 My Email Address: Not Displayed |
