Dented T0-35

The middle of the winter wasn't the best time to own a Ferguson TO-35 standard diesel, well at least ours anyway. Of course the batteries were never real good, so it would get coasted down the hill to start part of the time. With pops at work I get the great idea I will tow it to the edge of the hill with my 47 international pickup. Great idea wrong method. I put the tractor in high gear so it wouldn't coast into my truck while I towed it (by myself) to the hill. It would have been ok had I shut the fuel off, but I didn't. Yes it did start half way across the yard, and yes it did run into the back of my old pickup and yes it did put the radiator into the fan and yes it did push me part way across the yard until it finally killed the engine, and yes I did get into a lot of trouble when pops got home from work. But I was always able to impress him on how I could screw things up so bad when there was just one of me. The neat thing is, I was 14 when that happened and I'm 58 today and the tractor is setting in the shop waiting for my grandson to screw it up again. Soooo--- A person has to love them ol' tractors.
