My first tractor | I just bought a retirement home, in Ontario, Canada. When we first looked at this home (Log Home), I saw a tractor parked beside the garage, and immediately decided that this had to be part of the deal( I have always been interested in tractors). It is a 10/60 Nuffield (1967), which I had never heard of before. we bought the house, and I was able to bargain the tractor in with the house, so now it's sitting waiting for me to move there, in the fall of 2008. I found information on the Nuffied tractor, here on the net, and purchased a book on the history of the Nuffield tractor, and also found a CD that has a copy of a service manual on the Universal tractor. I purchased that, to at least have one on the Nuffied tractors. I am now looking for one on the 10/60. I didn't know at the time, if the tractor was in working condition or not, so since the keys were in it, I tried it, and before I took my fingers of the key, it was running smoothly, to my surprise. My plan is to restore it, and in a couple years( I hope) enter it in a tractor show.My first retirement project. Jim Scott, On, entered 2007-10-19 My Email Address: Not Displayed |
