| Dad Bought a John Deere |
In about 1954 my Dad bought a john deere 1945 B, one day he had A service man out to look at the B for what I don’t remember what for, Any way Mom and Dad were watching the service man, so I went out to see what was going on: there was a bee flying around and when I sat-down so did he! ouch, needless to say I stood right up. After that Dad bought cultivators for it and done a lot of custom work with it. Also it was the john deere I fell in love with, with sound and personality It’s right personality, you always know when it was happy and when it was working Hard, which usually happen at the same time, the other time was when It was going down the road in 6th gear hi range at the blazing speed of 15 mph, Wow what a thrill for a 14 year old farm boy, I have spent many an joy filled hour Listing to old john work, Ron Coffey, mi, entered 2010-04-24
