I remember as a kid I would drive our 8N and dad would walk behind in the furrow. He would shout whoa, and I would stop the tractor for adjustments. He would adjust leveling box, the top link etc. When he was satisfied, he would wave and walk back to the barn. He took a lot of pride in how his fields looked. Later on I would make the adjustments but he would always do an "inspection" at some point.
