Caseman- It looks to me like when they went to the 8 digit serial number system ('54-'55?) that Case assigned blocks of numbers for that year and their entire production of all models was in that range. I know for example that all of 1956 prodution had the 808XXXX block. Your 1957 600 has the 810XXXX block serial number. They seemed to follow this system up through the end of the 70 series, don't know about after that. So short answer is I don't think you could know which of the 1515 diesel 600s yours is just by looking at the serial number. You would need access to all the build data for that year, like Mike suggests about the build cards. Pat
