Part of the reason might be the "no-till" feature? It has to be built tougher/stronger than a conventional drill in order to compensate for the resistance of untilled soil.......so repair/wear parts need to be built heavier, and steel is $$$. No-till has its place, but isn"t the panacea.....no one system has all the answers. Simply doesn"t match all soil types, any more than a moldboard plow or chisel plow does. Good luck on your search.
