Going home from the Marion County fair last night we could see lightening to the north and the radar had the storms tracking a bit south. Heard it start raining around 10:30 and I went to sleep with the hope that it would keep coming. What a disappointment to only find .05" in the gauge this morning! Some hit-and-miss areas within a half-hour from us got over an inch but it passed us by. It is supposed to be 100+ again starting tomorrow with no rain in sight until next weekend. I'm guessing we'll start seeing windrowers in soybean fields around here within a few days because a lot of fields started turning yellow a week ago.
