I was thinking that the 1964 TD 6 had the six cylinder glow plug start full diesel engine. However, if your TD 6 has the 4 cylinder with the dual combustion head for starting on gas and switching to diesel, the starter motor should fit from a : MD, Super MD, WD 6, WD 9, 400 D, 600 D, 450 D, or 650 D. This basic engine was also a popular power unit and was also used on some Adams and some Gallion motor graders which you might find in a salvage yard.
