Chuck, the need for priming these pumps is usually not necessary at all, or any air bleeding. If it is not pumping it will usually be because the oil is simply too low for it to pick up, or else the oil is a "foaming" type, which won't work. The oil should be just regular non foaming 20W motor oil. It's a plunger pump and will usually get the oil pumped without the need for any priming or bleeding, unless something else is wrong, in which case priming and bleeding won't help anyway.
