Don: I have a friend who has been a Continetal dealer since the end of World War 2. He can decode it. They are spec numbers on how the engine was set up. Since you are an Oliver guy I will explain it this way. When I started they had some Super 188 power units in stock at the branch. They had a little tag on them with word someline this. Engine deviated from standard model and then there would be a number.
