George, I caught the entire sad story. from the beginning. You missed the fact somewhere that Whirlpool is No longer an entity to themselves. But a secondary side line like others . Whirlpool is not the machine it was even 10 yrs ago. Yes I caught the part that you get a $400 refund and you have to spend it at Lowes. And you Wife wants a New Machine Now but you will wait till T-day to X-mas to buy. I will say this Do your Homework then! I will keep my comments to myself But, I haven't spent anywhere near that much MUCH $$$$$$, since I have bee marred and that is 23 yrs now. Yes!, a Happy Wife for a Happy Life! Y'all will probably be going the the local washateria to do the wash for the time being..... Bet it surprises you how much you spend on a weekly basis over the next month and a piece!
