Back in the 1950's and 60's what they called Blue Laws on Sunday here in MD. You couldn't get any auto parts. I would hit the junk yards. I broke an axle on a 1951 Chevy car and they had plenty of them. I had to remove the axle. Cost about a dollar. Even found an alternator and it still worked for a 63 Mercury. Most of the stores are open Sunday now. Guess they threw out the blue laws. Hal PS: Still have an old 1981 Mercury Cougar with only 56k miles. My wife's sister bought it new and when it had 15k miles her husband to sell it cause it was worn out. So we bought it in 1985.
