I just bought a old Brillion cultimulcher that weighs in at 4,700 lbs.It has 4 tires to hold it up.I just recieved 4 new 8 PLY Treadura brand (made in China)6.70X15 tube type implement tires to go on the machine. The rims are 6" wide. When i took old tires off of rims they have alot of rust pits all around them and where the stem comes out of the rim it is thin and not exactly round due to rust.I will oly be using this thing a couple of times a year 20-50 acres each time.I can buy new rims from Shoup's for $54 each but i hate to.If i clean up rims and flake all rust off and paint them inside will they be ok or will they ruin my tubes due to rust pitting?Do they make rubber rim liners for this size rims?
