You are only half right with that assessment. You left out the part that the trucker that scams you ALSO agreed to the price. If the trucker agrees to a low ball price, it still does not give them the right to scam, cheat, or otherwise not provide the service at the exact rate that they agreed to. Supply and demand have the right to work in BOTH directions, not just favor one party. When there is more demand to ship than trucks to move it, truckers have the right to increase their prices. When there are more trucks (like today) than there are loads to move, the shipper inherits the leverage. So you are saying that in "good" times when prices are higher, the shipper has the right to scam the trucker because the trucker charged more? I don't believe you thought that one all the way through.
