No, bearing buddies are completely different.
The EZ-lube axles have a passage through the spindle that pushes grease out BEHIND the bearings. As you pump, the new grease shoves the old grease out towards you.
Bearing buddies are just covers that put grease IN FRONT of the bearings. They push grease from the outside in, where it has no place to go except through the rear dust seal and into your brake drum.
