Another thing that will effect cost of the move is if you choose a licensed and insured carrier or just some guy with a trailer.
While the guy with a trailer will be cheaper if everything goes as planed; who really pays for this choice if something goes wrong.
A good licensed and insured carrier can give you his DOT and MC number; insurance carrier and limits; will show up in a truck that has the company name on the door; have you fill out and sign a proper bill of lading; and will not charge you anything up front. You can take the DOT number he gives you to the link and search his safety and insurance record.
