Back in the days of the big horse being a 318 with N70 brown tags and the 335 Cummings a 40-45 ton load of coal going up that hill was third gear with 4.44-4.56 gears and ya had time to have your lunch drink a cup of coffee and smoke a smoke before ya had to shift. At the bottom ya have about 3/4 mile before ya have to turn to head east out the county road. IF ya miss it then ya have and extra mile to get woooed in and turned around.
