A little while back I asked some questions about the things and got some straightforward answers. So I bought one of the attachments. Once you get the hang of oprerating it it works pretty good. The first few times I used it, it was almost as much work as doing it by hand, but the more I use it, the better I like it. A side to side motion works well and if you hit a well rooted weed dragging it backwards over the roots a second time will tear them up pretty good. In the long run, once you get the hang of using it, I think it is less work than a hand cultivator. Biggest surprise was that the cultivator attachment cost as much as the weed wacker itself.
