I'm a retired railroad Machinist/mechanic and worked for CB&Q, Burlington Northern, Burlington Northern Santa Fe, The Railroad supplied the tools, and on CB&Q and BN it was Williams,Really great tools. They were flat black, not chromed. On BNSF we had Snap-On, and could purchase them at "Railroad cost", which was about 60% less than tool truck cost. So Most of my tools are Snap-On. I've heard that Snap-On, rather that build a new factory, to get more production,just bought Williams, to get another factory.
