LOL, good cheap fix. That's our nanny govt for you. I'm surprised they don't hang out at classic car shows and give people tickets for having cars w/o airbags or seat belts.
Luckily, NHTSA is delaying the rear-camera implementation that was supposed to go in ALL 2014 vehicles at a cost of $2billion per year to new car buyers.
I've got 1 car with it and I hate it. I never use it. It causes more of a problem than it's supposed to solve. Best solution is to just plain old turn your head and LOOK! My feeling is: If someone wants it, let them buy it, but don't force me to buy something that doesn't solve the problem. Nowadays a car is totaled if you get hit hard enough to set off all the airbags. Could be fixable but your interior is ruined, without even considering the cost of the airbags. Sorry for the rant but I hate our nanny government.
