Agree with saving a ref. I have 12 ref too. Just replaced one for a tenant. After it sat for 2 days, I put it in my shop, plugged it in and can't figure out why it failed. It appears to be working fine. My final test will be the defrost circuit. Will do that tomorrow when it gets cold enough to move the timer to defrost. Currently, the timer is moving.
Been thinking, is possible that a power blip may have caused it to fail, compressor overheated trying to start and never got the job done, shut off on overload?
I'll put this unit in my garage to keep drinks cold and test it out. George
