Hello old, I was taking a rest and posted the pictures of the float. I went out and split a few logs, it is working fine...................for now! I'm surprised, as there is much lead on that float. I'll put it to work tomorrow and see if it olds up. I have another splitter in the yard, and i like to get this splitting done before it gets too hot! I'm guessing about 6 more cords, so that old thing better work, or i'll park it. I do know that those engines AA to AKS use the same float, and have the part # if I can get a souce to by it from. That one had a tag that said USN on it is WW2 vintage, i think.
