Older machinist in my first job- I was just out of Army, going to college, needed some $$$ beyond GI Bill if I was going to have a life...ie, chase girls.....'Frugal' machinist showed me how to sharpen drill bits with a simple gauge of stamped metal, with the correct angle degree and markings. Use it to this day. College Ag Engineering course, we made another, but not as accurate.
