I bought a Kohler 14kw generator that's rated at 12kw on natural gas. It programmed to start once a week for 20 minutes and also starts automatically when the power is off. If you decide to buy one of these hire a master electrician that has wired transfer switches for a long time. I would also get the required permits to have the wiring and plumbing inspected. You also need to decide which circuits you want on the transfer switch. You can have up to 16 circuits on the 14kw and I have 13 circuits. I don't have well water anymore. All of my big appliances are natural gas. I bought the generator from Norwall.com in AZ off the Internet. There's free shipping and no sales tax. Hal
