Hi everyone! i'm pretty new here as i'm looking for information on an old screw compressor that i bought few weeks ago. i'm planning on starting up this beast but don't know much about it. I'm an industrial mechanic and i set myself that goal to bring it back to live. I don't know for how long it haven't run. That's a holman howden compressor with a Ford 2711e diesel engine. If anyone of you could help me with any info about that kind of compressor or what i should do first to make sure this thing worth the work of taking it apart... Is there any way to disengage the screw so i can check for the good working condition of the diesel engine before to work on the compressor itself? Or a way to check for the working condition of the compressor? (make sure it's not sease or broken, this way i won't do more damage) You can contact me by e-mail, i have some picture that might help you (if i find the way to upload them here, i will...) Thanks a lot everyone!
