I used to maintain a fleet of plow trucks for a contractor that I worked for we had a mix of western and meyers equipment. I used to get buyers oil it was the same stuff about 2 bucks cheaper than the meyers stuff. The meyers pumps are not nearly as stout as the western pumps, but for certain jobs they work better,if you are using a smaller truck with a smaller charging system it wont kill the battery as fast when doing a parking lot with a lot of lifting and angling as a western will, a western works great if your truck was set up with heavy duty charging or the plow package. If you want a meyers to last you must use the blue fluid in it and change it before each season and when it starts to discolor, also don't use quick connect electrical connectors on the battery feed, hard wire it directly and make sure that you have a heavy battery type ground cable wired directly to the battery or your solenoids will over heat and fry. Another thing that helps is to take the pump off when you are done for the year no need to expose it to all the rain in spring and summer. T.J._N.J.
